The technical side of theatre is probably my favorite. I absolutely love set days. I enjoy being covered in paint and getting splinters and being able to see the show coming together. Last year we didn't get to destroy as much stuff either. I like destroying stuff (and apparently so does Austin). Theatrical technology is often overlooked. Theatrical technlogy plays a huge role in all productions. If you didn't have the lights you wouldn't be able to see the performance and if you didn't have the mics you wouldn't be able to hear the performance. So without lighting and sound what is the point in going to see a performance?
I agree...sitting in a dark, silent theatre doesn't really appeal so much to me....:)
