Piece By Piece It All Comes Together

Performance and stage presence was very evident in both STOMP! and Peter Pan. Tech was probably most important in Peter Pan. They had to use mics and did more special effects with the lights. To me, STOMP required more art detail because they only used one set. Though it was just a bunch of random objects you'd find on the street, it was put together in a very sutable way for the production. Make-up wasnt really used in STOMP, but was very important in Peter Pan. Without make-up, Captain Hook would have just looked like a random guy who couldn't keep his tongue in his mouth instead of a missing member of Kiss. Props were probably most important in STOMP. Without them, there would have been no show. In our show, we have an extremly talented cast and production team. Tech is also coming together quite interestingly in our show. We haven't done a complete run with all the mics and lights yet, but I am confident that our show will kick butt. Make-up hasn't really been discussed yet. If one element was missing our show wouldn't be as amazing.

  1. Yeah I agree with absolutely everything you said. Peter Pan was more a standard production than STOMP was because of the mics and special effects with lighting and even with the flying, but STOMP was more artistic than Peter Pan was. I don't think that using more the style of one or the other would make or break a show. I think that technical aspects change depending on the type of show. For example, if Peter Pan had a set made out of garbage... yeah I think you know what I mean!! And if John Angeles (cute dude from STOMP) had make-up resembling a long lost KISS member... once again I think you know what I mean!! As for the whole "we haven't run the show with all technical aspects yet", I have faith. In High School Musical I felt that we were definitely unprepared and the show was not ready... but the entire cast and crew pulled through and we came out with a show, instead of a shame!!! lol
